The Hayward Middle School Drone Soccer Team was visited by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and former Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller on Tuesday after the team's return from the U.S. Drone Soccer National Championships.
Hayward was the first school to represent Ohio on the national level of competition, as the school continues to make a name for themselves in the drone soccer arena.
Earlier this year, Hayward also hosted and won the first drone soccer match held in Ohio.
During Gov. DeWine's visit to Hayward, the team showed him a demonstration of drone soccer, and then Gov. DeWine's photographer, Eric and Braxton tested their skills in a mini drone soccer match.
The team is sponsored by The Braxton Miller Foundation, which also supports the XTreme Bots Team.
Additional photos of the visit can be found on the SCSD's social media channels.
