In this hands-on STEM challenge, students in grades 4-8 will explore energy transfer and insulation by designing shelters to keep their 'ice penguin' alive the longest. Using various materials, they'll learn how insulation slows melting and apply real-world concepts like thermal conductivity and energy efficiency. This engaging activity combines creativity, problem-solving and teamwork for a fun and educational experience. Will your penguin survive the heat?
