The Springfield City School District will hold an upcoming public hearing on the use of state funds. The District welcomes the general public and parents of children enrolled in the District to provide input regarding the use of these funds at the hearing.
The SCSD receives funds through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) via the Consolidated Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP). These funds are called Title funds or Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) funds.
Monies received through these funds are used to provide financial assistance to districts and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 27 at 5 PM at The Dome, 700 S. Limestone Street (3rd Floor, ‘Trust’ Meeting Room). Comments may also be sent to Dr. Pamela Shay, Director of Federal Programs via mail at the same address or via email at shaypk@scsdoh.org.
