Dear Snyder Park Parents and Guardians: Thank you for your patience and support as we worked through a Secure Facility situation this afternoon. We are thankful for our community partnership with the Springfield Police Division who are always quick to make our schools aware of any neighborhood issues that we need to know. Though today's situation had nothing specifically to do with Snyder Park Elementary, we always take precautions to make sure our students stay inside and remain safe until we receive an all clear. The timing of the situation today at dismissal made it a bit more challenging, but our staff and parents, as always, worked together to make sure all students were not released until it was safe to do so. Please tell your students this evening that we are extremely proud of their wonderful behavior, willingness to be helpful and ability to listen. While we don't like days like today, we grow together in maturity, awareness and life skills. Again, thank you parents/guardians. On behalf of the entire staff, we appreciate you and love teaching your students. Principal Sledge

Snyder Park Parents/Guardians: This afternoon Snyder Park Elementary moved to a secured facility situation after being notified of a situation in the neighborhood by the Springfield Police Division. To keep our students safe, Officers from the Springfield Police Division are at the school and will assist with departure. Students that ride the bus will depart as normal but all walkers will be held until an all clear is received from the SPD. Students will be released to any parent that arrives at Snyder Park Elementary in their vehicle. Thank you for understanding. We will send additional information as we can.
